October 6-7, 2008
89 Chestnut Conference Centre, Toronto
who’s it for?
People from across Ontario who develop and deliver information to help their clients understand their legal rights, and people interested in community legal education.
can we help you get here?
If you work for a smaller organization and conference costs would prevent you from attending, e-mail us to find out about our subsidies for registration, travel, and accommodation.
why attend?
- Gain practical skills in plain language, adapting and translating information, field-testing, evaluation.
- Learn how to do legal information needs assessments, run effective legal education workshops, get your message across using popular theatre, YouTube, and community media.
- Discuss how best practices from other sectors can help build a "practice of community legal education" and how your community legal education work can be supported in the future.
- Hear about and give feedback to The Law Foundation of Ontario’s groundbreaking Linguistic and Rural Access to Justice Project.
