Unfair Practices under the Consumer Protection Act
This interactive webinar, presented by Margaret Capes, Legal Education Coordinator of Community Law School (Sarnia-Lambton) Inc., looks at the specific protections afforded by the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). It covers the impact of false, misleading, or deceptive representations by vendors. Case studies, including those raised by webinar attendees, illustrate how the CPA can be used to free consumers from obligations that were improperly induced in violation of the Act.
A short primer and sample case studies will be provided in advance of the live webinar. We ask that attendees review these materials prior to the webinar, and that they be prepared to share scenarios from their own work to help personalize and enhance the learning experience for all.
Space is limited so register today.
