Citizenship changes could leave children of some Canadian citizens stateless

Appeal court looks at whether owner must pay employees what bankrupt company owes
Posted February 3, 2009 - A Toronto Star article looks at a case before the Ontario Court of Appeal, which must decide whether a company owner has to pay the employees of his bankrupt company what it owes in severance and termination pay. Employees were represented by the Metro Toronto Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic and Parkdale Community Legal Services.

CLEO announces CDs and pamphlet racks available for multi-language text and audio materials
Posted February 2, 2009 - CLEO has free audio CDs and a limited supply of free pamphlet racks that community agencies can order to allow them to easily display the materials in their offices and play the audio recordings in their waiting rooms and at events. The materials and recordings are part of CLEO's Six Languages Text and Audio Project and are also available for downloading on the CLEO web site.
