Posted August 24, 2006 - The Ombudsman of Ontario has announced plans for a systemic investigation into Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, a provincially run government agency that has a mandate to award compensation to victims of of violent crime in Ontario.


Federal Universal Child Care Benefit to be excluded from Ontario provincial programs
Posted August 9, 2006 - Ontario Finance Minister Greg Sorbara has announced that the government will introduce legislation to remove the new federal benefit from income when calculating eligibility for income-tested provincial programs.
